Hi - I'm Bernie, founder & owner of Southwest Muscular Therapy. Welcome to my space for you.
In a world full of quick fixes and conflicting advice, it’s easy to feel disconnected from your body or not sure where to start. But true wellbeing doesn’t come from outside of you—it comes from understanding, supporting, and working with your body.
For this reason I bring a personal & confident touch to your choice of treatment & work with Your body's individual needs, in my private & peaceful homebased setting in Halswell, Christchurch.
I have over 25 years qualified training & experience in clinical, sports & pregnancy massage, while also specialising in complicated needs, palliative care, post surgical, menopausal support, lymphatic & older person care.
My Therapeutic Massage & Clinical Nutrition training was completed through the Canterbury College of Natural Medicine & I have continued with professional development over the years. I have also worked in aged care diversional therapy & caring for 20 years, as well as being a certified Adult & Tertiary Educator & Wellness Coach.
I enjoy helping you meet your personal health needs & goals.
All health & wellbeing consultations are individually tailored to you. You can be certain of your personalised session with me every time, rather than not knowing who you might get on any given day.
Exercise, stretching, nutrition & lifestyle advice is available with each consultation.
